Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. operates one of the largest eyeglass recycling centers in the United States providing impact domestically and internationally.
The Recycling Center is located in Chamblee, Georgia and is a volunteer-dependent initiative. We invite you to come to serve with us in the Recycling Center! Together we can make a difference for people around the world by giving the gift of sight.

Volunteer with us at the Recycling Center.
You do not need any specialized training. Volunteer! Join us on your own, with a Lions Club, Corporate, faith, or service group. Contact Ayanna Thompson or call 770-735-4668.
Collect for the Recycling Center! We accept the following items:
- Clear Eyeglasses
- Sunglasses
- Hearing Aids
- Cell Phones
We cannot accept eyeglass cases, cordless phones, or phone chargers.

What is the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. Recycle Center?
The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. Recycle Center collects and recycles glasses in partnership with the Lions Clubs across the state of Georgia so that improved sight can be provided to those who need it most including individuals in third world countries. We accept all eyeglasses (including broken ones), sunglasses, loose lenses, hearing aids and cell phones.
What opportunities does Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. have for individuals to volunteer?
There are many ways to volunteer. We are accepting group volunteers and medical volunteers Monday-Friday. Individual Volunteers are considered case by case.
Where can glasses be delivered or dropped off?

Do I need specialized training to volunteer at the vision clinic?
No; training will take place about 30 minutes prior to the initial shift on the first day of volunteering.
