Fort Valley Resident Appointed to Strengthen the Organization’s Commitment to Transforming Vision Services in Georgia and Access to Vision Care

Atlanta, GA (February 2024) – Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, the state’s top organization for providing vision services for children, adults, and seniors who otherwise do not have access to vision care, is pleased to announce the Board of Directors.  Their fresh viewpoints and knowledge will help advance the organization’s goal of providing clear vision to more Georgians.

A native of Roberta, GA, Martha McAfee is a retired City and County Administrator after serving 30 years in the local government arena.  She is currently serving as the Economic|Community Development Manager at the Fort Valley Utility Commission. She has been a member of the Fort Valley Lions Club for 4 years.

Martha received her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from Tift College of Mercer University. 

“I am always looking for opportunities to serve because I firmly believe that is why God created us… to serve others,” said McAfee.
