Annual Evening in the End Zone for Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. Fundraising Event Set to Kick Off October 17, 2022

ATLANTA (July 12, 2022) – Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. and Peach Bowl, Inc. have teamed up for 5th annual Evening in the End Zone fundraising event. Proceeds raised will benefit Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc.’s full continuum of vision services which include vision screenings, complete eye exams, prescription eyeglasses to surgery for uninsured and underinsured Georgians. Vision services are provided statewide through our Chamblee full service optical clinic, 3 Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. glasses only clinics located at Grady Hospital and Grady Primary Health Center Brookhaven and Kirkwood locations, as well as our Framekit program, and Mobile Clinic.

Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. works with a network of ophthalmologists to provide patients with optical surgery when needed. Surgery assistance for cataracts, glaucoma and diabetes-related vision loss is also provided.

Evening in the End Zone honors the legacy of great athletes, coaches, administrators, and medical professionals (typically optometrists or ophthalmologists) who have a strong, positive impact within their communities. This event will recognize those individuals and their invaluable contributions to the well-being of our state. This year, on Monday, October 17, 2022, we will celebrate the University of Georgia’s Championship Legacy by honoring the University of Georgia Football Coaches and Athletic Directors from 1980 and 2021 including: Coach Vince Dooley, Coach Kirby Smart and Athletic Director Josh Brooks.

Heading into its fifth year, Evening in the End Zone has raised a total of more than $250,000 for Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. patients. This year, the goal is to raise $350,000.
