The Lighthouse to Participate in Georgia Gives Day — 11/13/2014
The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation will be participating in the 2nd annual Georgia Gives Day, Nov. 13, 2014, in an effort to raise awareness for charitable vision and hearing care across the state.
The mission of Georgia Gives Day is to inspire individuals to donate to participating nonprofits with the goal of raising as much money as possible within a 24-hour period. GAgivesday.org makes donating easy by organizing hundreds of nonprofits across the state onto one website, providing the information people need to select a cause or charity of their choice, and enabling online donations by credit card or e-check.
The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation has provided vision and hearing services through education, detection, prevention and treatment for over 65-years. Through collaborative partnerships we enable greater independence and increased quality of life for Georgians in financial need. Donations made to the Lighthouse will fund vision and hearing programs, which, last year, provided high-quality healthcare services like; eye exams, prescription eyeglasses, eye surgeries and hearing aids to 7,439 uninsured and under-uninsured adults and children across Georgia.
